Never sent a piece of direct mail before? Never used a mailing house? Unsure of what is involved?
Do not worry; our expert friendly staff are always available to help guide you through the process.
Step 1
First contact one of our sales team for a quote. They will ask you what you hope to expect from your campaign and a series of questions eg quantity, size, number of insertions, folding, pre-print requirements and data needs.
They will also ask about your postage expectations. If you are using your own postage account then we will need a docket from your docket book. If you wish to use Gray Associates Direct’s postage account to send your mailing, you will also receive an estimated postage quote. If your campaign goes live, you will be required to pay for the postage before your mailing is released to Royal Mail.
Step 2
If you are happy with the costing then your account handler will book your project in with our production department.
They will need to know when to expect data and stock (letterhead, inserts, envelopes, postcards etc.) to effectively schedule a slot in production.
Step 3
Once everything has been received, our data team will process your data. They will use a specially tailored system to check for duplicates and run against PAF, MPS, TPS, NCOA etc. Once happy they will print off a proof for you to check either by email, fax or a live proof will be delivered to you. You will be asked to thoroughly check all the details and approve or amend as necessary.
Step 4
Once approved your campaign will move through the various stages of production, your account handler will inform you of it’s progress every step of the way, and will contact you immediately should any problems arise.
Step 5
Your campaign is now ready to be released to Royal Mail.
After mailing has been released to the Royal Mail you will receive our itemised invoice, Gray Associates Direct’s payment terms are 30 days.
